Transport of giant transformer through Lenawee County delayed

The movement of a massive transformer through Lenawee County planned last week via the Adrian and Blissfield Rail Road, and by truck has been delayed. The 200-plus ton component that is to be delivered to the Morocco Substation on County Line Highway in Deerfield Township was still in Cincinnati, Ohio, last Tuesday morning when it had been expected to move through the area, according to Adrian and Blissfield Rail Road President Mark Dobronski.
The piece has traveled from Norfolk, Va., to Cincinnati via train.
The newest anticipated date for the local transport is Monday, Aug. 10.
