TRACK: Blissfield and Whiteford; April 9 edition

Blissfield and Whiteford men and women competed at a four-way meet April 1 to begin the outdoor track season. Blissfield women dominated the day overall, however Miranda Johnson from Whiteford was the top individual with three first-place finishes and a team victory as part of the winning 4 x 100 meter Bobcat relay team.

Blissfield women won the meet 90-28 over Whiteford. In team scoring for all four teams in the meet, the Lady Royals came out on top. Blissfield had 71, Summerfield 57, Lenawee Christian 24 and Whiteford 22 points.

The Blissfield men’s track team finished second overall at the Summerfield four-way meet April 1.  Summerfield, last year’s Division 4 regional team champion was first with 90 points, Blissfield second with 38 and Lenawee Christian and Whiteford each had 24 points.
