In a special board meeting called by Blissfield Township Supervisor Lewis Bowman, Tuesday, Jan. 3, the township board voted unanimously not to approve additional money to cover changes made to the new ladder truck that the township agreed to purchase in October.
The original price agreed upon by the township was $677,644.
Additional charges for approximately $16,000 were denied. An invoice was presented to the board at their December meeting that included the changes. The truck tentatively will arrive toward the end of January with payment due upon delivery.
