Kathleen Lois Ries, 90, of Blissfield passed away on Thursday, May 06, 2010 at Provincial House in Adrian, MI. She was born on March 2, 1920 in Blissfield, Michigan the daughter of Hazen and Mildred (Wolverton) Mason. On October 13, 1940 Kathleen was united in marriage to Gordon Ries. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2000.
Kathleen graduated from Blissfield High School in 1938. She devoted her life to her family and home. Kathleen was a member of the Elem3nt Church in Blissfield. She enjoyed her time with her family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Elaine (Tom) Schneider of Blissfield and Phyllis (Harry) Gentz of Blissfield; 1 brother, Willard Mason of Adrian, MI; 4 grandchildren, Jeff Schneider and David Schneider, both of Blissfield, Brian (Aimee) Gentz of Blissfield and Kristen (Ryan) Fisher of Blissfield and 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla Schneider of Adrian, Heidi Schneider of Blissfield, Logan and Gavin Gentz of Blissfield and Abigail Fisher of Blissfield. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Wesley Fisher.
Funeral services for Kathleen will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Tagsold Funeral Home in Blissfield with the Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Ogden Zion Cemetery in Ogden Township. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Provincial House in Adrian. Envelopes will be available at the Tagsold Funeral Home.
