On June 21, 2003, he married Cindy Mlcek in Adrian and she survives. He was a member of the Lenawee County Conservation club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Nancy Reau, age 81, of Blissfield, died November 29, 2011, at Ebeid Hospice. 

Nancy Reau, age 81, of Blissfield, died November 29, 2011, at Ebeid Hospice. She was born November 12, 1930, in Petersburg, Michigan to Elmore and Vera (Coultis) Zibbell.  On June 24, 1950, she married Norman Reau in Deerfield.  He preceded her in death on February 21, 2009.  Nancy was a member of the Light of Christ Parish in Blissfield and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She was also a former member of Sodality.

Bridge likely to remain closed until Saturday

Blissfield will be divided in half for at least a couple of more days. Michigan Department of Transportation has informed the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Dept. that the Blissfield bridge on U.S. 223 will remain closed until at least Saturday.

MDOT Official: U.S. 223 bridge remains closed

BLISSFIELD — Even though the water is receding the River Raisin Bridge on U.S. 223 in Blissfeld will remain closed. Michigan Department of Transportation officials are still unsure when opening the bridge will be possible.

Blissfield will be divided in half for at least a couple of more days. Michigan Department of Transportation has informed the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Dept. that the Blissfield bridge on U.S. 223 will remain closed until at least Saturday. 
MDOT spokeswoman confirmed this information to the Advance at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
“We are trying to put together a plan to inspect the bridges," MDOT spokeswoman Kari Arend said.
With the potential of more precipitation and the rate the water in the river is receding, it is more than likely it will be Saturday before MDOT inspectors can get under the bridge by boat and look at the underside of it to determine if it is safe to reopen the structure.

RIVER RAISIN 223 BRIDGE CLOSED!!!

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m. Wed., Nov. 30, 2011

BLISSFIELD - The Michigan Department of Transportation has shut down the bridge on U.S. 223 in Blissfield due to the flooding. As of 3:30 p.m. Wednesday MDOT has begun the process of  putting up detour signs. According to MDOT spokesperson Kari Arens, the bridge will remain closed until the water recedes.

PALMYRA - Earl “Jake” Sylvester Osborn Jr., age 71, of Palmyra, died on Friday, November 25, 2011, at the University of Michigan Medical Center.  

PALMYRA — Earl “Jake” Sylvester Osborn Jr., age 71, of Palmyra, died on Friday, November 25, 2011, at the University of Michigan Medical Center.  He was born on August 26, 1940, in Holgate, Ohio to Earl S. and H. Irene (Gilbert) Osborn.  On August 8, 1963, he married Judith “Judy” Stein and she survives.  He served in the U.S. Air Force.  Earl had been employed by Blissfield Manufacturing as a quality control inspector for 27 ? years.
