BD's big man has big game

In a fast-paced game with a lot of outside shooting by the opposing team, Britton Deerfield proved why having a big man underneath the basket can be important.

BD defeated the Manchester Flying Dutchmen 87-77 Friday evening. Sophomore Devin Gruber, the big man on the team, racked up 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to help his team claim a victory.

Two Britton Deerfield players recorded a double-double in a fast paced no-conference basketball victory over the Manchester Flying Dutchmen.

Two Britton Deerfield players recorded a double-double in a fast paced no-conference basketball victory over the Manchester Flying Dutchmen. BD was over 50 percent in shooting in what Coach Darren Shiels calls the team's most cohesive effort of the season.

Feds Detail Alleged Hutaree Plot To Kill Cops

 DETROIT – A Blissfield area man was among nine members of a “Christian” militia indicted in United States District Court Monday on federal charges of conspiracy and attempting to use weapons of mass of destruction.

Joshua John Clough, 28, of Bruce Highway in Ogden Township, was a member of a militia group called Hutaree, whose website includes the motto, “Preparing for the end time battles to keep the testimony of Jesus Christ alive.”
