PALMYRA — Jean L. Bailey, 91, formerly of Palmyra, passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh.

DEERFIELD — Lana Lucielle (Hadesh) Millyard, 71, of Deerfield passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, Michigan surrounded by her family. She was born on August 15, 1940, in Blissfield, Michigan, the daughter of Emil and Dolores (Steih) Hadesh. On January 13, 1962, Lana was united in marriage to Robert Millyard at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Blissfield, Michigan. He survives.

ADRIAN — Shirley Constance “Connie” Farver, age 81, of Adrian, died Monday, October 10, 2011, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. 

William David Weeber, 61, of Blissfield, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian.

William “Bill” F. Benz, 74, of Blissfield, passed away, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.

   Rev. Warren J. Sherman, 90, of Adrian, passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, MI.  He was born in Baltimore, MD, February 12, 1921, to William Franklin & Grace Anna (McFarland) Sherman.  Rev. Sherman graduated from Beulah College and Upland College in California and from Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky.

Madeline Ann Anthony age 75 of Dardanelle formerly of Flint, Michigan died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. She was born March 14, 1936 at Adrian, Michigan to the late Clark and Mildred Hodges Engel.  She was a graduate of Adrian high school and retired after 30 years as the executive secretary for the General Motors Institute.  She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband, James H. Anthony; one brother, Douglas Engel.

ADRIAN – Elouise A. Strong, age  92 , of Adrian, died  Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at her home. She was born Feb.4, 1918, in Rome Twp. to Leon and Almeda (Pawson) Merx. She was married to Clarence Wilson on Feb. 11, 1937, and he preceded her in death in March 1948.

ADRIAN – Betty Louise Brown, age 84, of Adrian, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Magnum Health and Rehab of Adrian.  She was born July 7, 1926, in  Blissfield, to Edward and Bertha (Kerentoff) Demlow. She was married to Carl B. Brown on Nov. 30, 1946, in Blissfield and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2006. She was employed at the May Co. in California. Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blissfield, the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion and was a Past President of the 40 & 8 La Femmes.

Martha Jane Jenkins, 84 of Blissfield passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Provincial House in Adrian.  She was born on November 13, 1925 in Kenton, Ohio, the daughter of George McKaskey and Edith Marie (Castor) Sine.  On May 1, 1947, Martha was united in marriage to Arthur F. Jenkins in Adrian, Michigan.  He preceded her in death in 1982. 

Martha devoted her life to being a homemaker and caring for her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and telling stories as often as she could.
