ADRIAN – Marilyn Jean (Wilt) Moran, 78, of Palmyra passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born on July 9, 1931 in Blissfield, the daughter of Harlan and Clara (Meirley) Wilt.

BRYAN C. TIEDE, 49, of Churubusco, Ind., passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 18, 2010, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Tecumseh, Mich., he graduated from Holgate High School in Holgate, Ohio, received a Bachelor's degree from ITT, and an Associate's degree in drafting from Ivy Tech.

SYLVANIA, Ohio – Rudolph “Rudy” Winkelman, 82, of Blissfield, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania.

Rudolph was born August 11, 1927 in Riga, Michigan, the son of William and Hulda (Runge) Winkelman.  He worked for Stubnitze-Greene in Adrian, where he retired after many years of service. 

Rudy loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother, Maurice.  He was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blissfield.

Vernon DeVantier, 78, of Blissfield went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at his home. Vernon was born on March 2, 1932 to Edward and Thekla DeVantier in Bergholtz, New York.  On July 2, 1955 in Lewiston, New York, he married Harriet Landres.

Eleanor Friedly was born June 30, 1927 in Blissfield, Michigan to Lester and Velma Klump. She was the eldest of three girls. Graduated 1944 from Blissfield High School in Blissfield, Michigan., she continued her education at Toledo Beauty College. While living in Toledo she met and married Ron Friedly on June 22, 1949 and they then moved to Boise, Idaho that same year.

Kathleen Lois Ries, 90, of Blissfield passed away on Thursday, May 06, 2010 at Provincial House in Adrian. She was born on March 2, 1920 in Blissfield, Michigan the daughter of Hazen and Mildred (Wolverton) Mason. On October 13, 1940 Kathleen was united in marriage to Gordon Ries. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2000.

McCarty, 79, of Deerfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio. Twyla was born on July 18, 1930 in Adrian, Michigan, the daughter of Lloyd and Adeline (Ziegler) Peavey. On December 16, 1950, Twyla was united in marriage to Max “Mike” McCarty. He survives.

 Edwin James Faust, 71, of Britton passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1938 in Britton, Michigan, the son of Otto and Charlotte (Williams) Faust. On March 30, 1963, Ed married Gloria Hummel. She survives.

         Rita Adeline Therese O’Mara, age 86, of Blissfield, was welcomed into God’s Heavenly Kingdom on Easter Sunday afternoon, April 4, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rita Adeline was born in Detroit on June 19, 1923, the youngest child of John and Laura (Goodman) Schutz.

            Marian Louise Sattler, 83 of Blissfield passed away on Monday, April 05, 2010 at her home. She was born on May 18, 1926 in Tecumseh, Michigan, the daughter of Royal and Clemantine (McCallister) Haas. On February 13, 1947, Marian was united in marriage to Donald Sattler. He survives.

               Fern E. Kruse, 91, of Blissfield passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2010 at her home. She was born on Aug. 4, 1918 in Riga, the daughter of Ira and Margaret (Luse) Eisenmann. On January 10, 1947, Fern was married to Arthur Kruse. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2007.

         Leslie P. Sayler, 86, of Blissfield passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at his home. Leslie was born on May 14, 1923 in Riga, Michigan, the son of William and Lottie (Palmer) Sayler. On Aug. 16, 1950 Leslie married Rhea Jean Weller. She survives. Leslie devoted his life to farming and was an active participant at the Bethany Assembly of God Church in Adrian.

     Wendell was born on Sept. 27, 1930 in Deerfield, the son of David and Helen (Keeley) Young. He graduated from Blissfield High School in 1948, and was married on June 26, 1954 to Patricia Ford.

     Jacqueline M. Marsh, 70, of Riga passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Bixby Medical Center in Adrian. She was born on July 15, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Wilbert and Lucille (Cornelson) Faust. On December 25, 1958, she married Cecil E. Marsh. He survives.

     Jacqueline was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Elem3nt Church in Blissfield and enjoyed working in her flower garden.

     Esther E. Casterline, 82, of Blissfield passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Esther was born on December 17, 1927 in Cedar Springs, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Gertrude (Hanna) Warren. On February 17, 1951 she married John R. Casterline. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1987.

    Marla Jean (Colyer) Wilson, of Blissfield, slipped into eternal rest Sunday Feb. 21, 2010 at Toledo Hospital. Marla Jean was born on Sept. 21, 1937 to Forrest M. Colyer and Pauline M. (Hoenig) Colyer. She was a 1955 graduate of Blissfield High School and was very active in roller skating during high school winning many medals.
