Local school officials see improvements in MEAP results

By MELISSA BURNOR

Local school district officials report they were pleased with results that came back on the Michigan Educational Assessment Program testing.

Blissfield superintendent Scott Moellenberndt said that the scores in the eighth grade mathematics and science categories by Blissfield students were one of the highlights of the MEAP testing. Moellenberndt said Blissfield improved in 13 of the 18 categories of the test from the third through the ninth grade.

Both Whiteford and Britton Deerfield cite continuity and improvement.
