Local 911 board to explain May 3 ballot proposal

Representatives from the Lenawee County 911 board will attend local meetings to give a presentation on a May 3 ballot proposal. The county is asking voters to approve a measure that would raise the surcharge on each cell phone and land line from $1.18 to $3 per phone. Dispatcher Brett Holubik will give a presentation at the 7 p.m. March 7 Deerfield Village meeting. Dispatcher Miranda Benner along with Emergency Manager Curtis Parson will present the information at the 7 p.m. March 8 Blissfield Township meeting.  Holubik and Madison Police Chief will give the presentation at the March 9 7 p.m. Madison Township meeting. Holubik will also give the same presentation at  7 p.m. March 14 to the Deerfield Township board where  he also serves as fire chief.
