Jeanette Ogden, age 96 of Blissfield, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility with her family by her side. She was born May 2, 1917, in Blissfield, Michigan, to the late Edward and Madge (Smith) Brown. Jeanette was a member of the graduating Class of 1935 from Blissfield High School. On August 21, 1947, she was married to Richard Ogden, and they celebrated almost 62 years of marriage before his death in 2009. Jeanette worked at Tibbs Brothers IGA and the Gambles store. She was a lifetime member of the Blissfield American Legion Auxilliary. She is survived by her children: James (Laura) Marsh of Toledo; Jacqueline O’Neill of Bradenton, FL; Robert (Cindy) Ogden of Adrian; and Deborah (Robert) Pooley of Blissfield; three grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a sister, Lois “Kathleen” Sheldon of Blissfield. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Macklin, Harold, Lawrence, and Edward Jr; a sister, Gladys Goetz; and a daughter in infancy. Visitation for Jeanette will take place at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. immediately followed by a graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery.
