Four boys and four girls, all seniors, were candidates for king and queen of the Blissfield High School Coming Home festivities Friday evening, Feb. 15. Standing from left to right are the king candidates, Branden Curtis, Zach Fredenburg, Nate Wold and Miles DeNudt (who was named king). Seated in the front row are queen candidates. Kennadi Auth, Taylor Cambal, Holly Meszaros and Baily Holdridge (who was named queen).
The Blissfield women won their game, defeating visiting Onsted 57-46, for a happy Coming Home evening. The Royal men fell to Onsted 63-36 in their game.

OTTAWA LAKE — Ottawa Lake and Summerfield firefighters as well as Whiteford and Summerfield school alumni battled on the Whiteford High School basketball court — on donkey-back — Saturday night, Feb. 9.
Summerfield VFD won the winners’ round 10-8 in overtime; and Whiteford Alumni won the losers’ round 8-2.
The event was hosted to raise funds for the Whiteford After Prom activities.
