Accident ties up U.S. 223 traffic in Palmyra

PALMYRA — A two-car crash on U.S. 223 shortly before 9 a.m. this morning (Friday, Oct. 4) backed up traffic in both directions

.  According to Cpl. Ben Oram of the Lenawee County  Sheriff”s Office, who was at the scene, a woman was attempting to turn into a driveway at one of the homes on the north side of the road when she was struck by another vehicle. Oram said one of the drivers was being transported to the hospital by private vehicle as a precautionary measure.

BD celebrates final homecoming game to be played in Deerfield

The 2014 Britton Deerfield Homecoming Court. The king and queen will be crowned Friday night at the halftime of the Britton Deerfield varsity football game against Madison in Deerfield. It will be the last homecoming game played on the Deerfield field.

 

 



Whiteford vs Summerfield for homecoming

Whiteford Agricultural HIgh School celebrates “The Seven Wonders of the World, Old and New” this Friday night during homecoming. The varsity football team will play the Summerfield Bulldogs. One of three seniors will be crowned homecoming queen at halftime, while the homecoming king is crowned at the dance Saturday evening at Whiteford High School. Each class will make a float that will be part of the homecoming activities Friday, and also participates in spirit week with each grade getting a turn to decorate and wear their class-specific homecoming T-shirt.
