There will be a Benefit Pulled Pork Dinner at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ottawa Lake Sportsman’s Club for Jason “Buzz” Kleindienst, who was injured in a snowmobile accident.
The dinner is $10 per person with a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, games and cash bar.
Kleindienst, who is married and has a four-year-old daughter, was left with severed nerves in his right shoulder, causing the loss of use of his right arm.
Jay Yockey finished the Boston Marathon in 2:53.44. His goal this year was to finish the grueling 26.2-mile course in under three hours.
The annual Blissfield Kiwanis Pancake Supper April 24 will be offered to the community as a free meal. The dinner sponsored by the Adrian & Blissfield Rail Road features pancakes and sausage, applesauce and a choice of milk, coffee or tea.
There will also be a cash raffle sponsored by Blissfield State Bank. Tickets will be available at the door for $1 each. First prize is $250, second prize is $150 and third prize is $100. Winners do not need to be present to win.
The meal will be served in the Blissfield High School cafeteria from 4:30-7 p.m.
