Evelyn Ruth (Goll) Mehan, age 94, from Blissfield, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility, Adrian.
She was born January 12, 1921, to Henry and Jenny (Pentelow) Goll in Palmyra.
She was married to Nelson C. Mehan on March 18, 1940 in Napoleon, OH. Her husband preceded her in death on August 3, 1997, and her son, Richard N., on September 29, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Gerald, Clare, Elwood and Maurice Goll and several other family members.
Evelyn loved her family and friends, enjoyed worldwide traveling with her husband and family, loved doing crafts, enjoyed crocheting and took produce to Adrian’s Farmers’ Market.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Nancy R. Pratt of Walbridge, Ohio, William H. Mehan of Blissfield, Pamela J. Flagg of Lakewood, Ohio, and daughter-in-law, Judith A. Mehan of Petersburg; seven grandchildren, Michael Mehan, Michelle (Mehan) Hodnicki, Julie (Mehan) Murdock, Nichole Flagg, Nola (Flagg) Tarach, Nelson Flagg and Nadine Flagg; seven great grandchildren, Holly and Sara Mehan, Bradley Mehan, Joyanna Murdock, Leila, Nicholas, Gracie Abderrazzaq and two great great grandchildren, Alivia and Evan Mehan. She is also survived by sisters -in -law, Janice Goll, Louise Boss, Barbara Mehan and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Evelyn were Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel, in Blissfield with the Rev. Keith Smith and Pastor Robert Loar officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant View Cemetery, Blissfield. Friends visited with the family on Thursday, April 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
