David J. Klump, age 83, of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Flower Hospital, Sylvania. He was born in Ottawa Lake Michigan to parents Maud S. (Hasen) and John E. Klump January 8, 1932. He married Margaret E. Vossberg and together they raised seven children. David was a life long farmer, past member of Christian Business Men of Toledo, Whiteford School Board Member for 14 years, Whiteford Township Board Trustee, 14 years, Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Commission, and Farm Bureau. He was a member of Blissfield Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school.
David is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret E. Klump, children Linda (Jeff) Moser, Carol (Doug) Matthews, Virginia (Andy) Rogers, Marcia (Mark) Crots, Mary (Ron) Keefer, John, and Benjamin (Pam) Klump, 17 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and sister Eleanor Billau. He was preceded in death by son Daniel.
Friends called at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main St., Sylvania, on Thursday May 14, 2015 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. a memorial service was held at Blissfield Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15th, A private burial was held at Toledo Memorial Park.
