Charlotte Diver

DEERFIELD — Charlotte “Mimi” Mae Diver, age 76 of Deerfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at her home under the care of Hospice of Lenawee and her loving family.
She was born on May 5, 1938, in Dundee to Charles and Ortha (Smith) Kuhlman. On April 29, 1956, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield, Charlotte married Robert Diver. They celebrated 59 years of marriage this year.
Charlotte attended Ma-Chere’ Beauty Academy in Toledo, Ohio. She owned and operated Char Mae’s Beauty Shoppe in Deerfield for many years. Charlotte loved to play bingo, slots, work crossword puzzles and to cook for her family. She had a very extensive “Clown” collection. She absolutely cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband Bob Diver of Deerfield; three children, Dan (Annette) Diver of Deerfield, Kim (Julie) Diver of Deerfield, and Michelle (Dave) Keller of Deerfielda; siblings, Wilma Edwards of Florida, Maryann Warner of Monroe and Jim Williams of Lambertville; nine grandchildren, Morgan, Wesley, Bryan (Shayna), Erin, Jake, Adam, Brandon (Tahneshia), Kaine, Paige (Kray) and a great-granddaughter, Emerald; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including Tracey McCollum of Blissfield and Lori Barnhart of Deerfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, JoAnne and Shirley.
A Funeral Mass for Charlotte was read at 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at Light of Christ Catholic Parish (St. Alphonsus), Deerfield with Fr. Jack Loughran presiding. Visitation took place Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield and also on Monday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
