DEERFIELD — Keith T. Diver, age 65, of Deerfield passed away April 22, 2014. He was born March 7, 1949 in Tecumseh, the son of Beaumont and Lillian (LaVoy) Diver. He married Joan R. Klippel on June 12, 1970, in Richfield Center, Ohio, and she survives. Keith proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 -1972. He owned and operated Meyers – Diver’s Airport in Tecumseh for over 40 years. Keith graduated from Deerfield High School and had worked in skilled trades as a Machine Repairman at Ford Motor Company in Saline for 30 years, retiring in 1997. BRITTON — Paul Peter Laslo, age 97 of Britton, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 15, 1917, in Canada, to Joseph and Anna Laslo. Paul served in the US Army and was a WWII veteran. On November 26, 1949, he married Carolyn Martin and she preceded him in death in 1987. On October 10, 1987, he married Mary Pieplow in Adrian. She also preceded him in death. Paul was a lifetime member of the Blissfield American Legion. He enjoyed going to his cabin in Reed City. Arthur Robert Vandenbusche, 81 of Blissfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 25, 2014, at home. He was born on May 12, 1932 in Ogden Township to Robert and Lucille (Lazoen) Vandenbusche. Arthur was united in marriage in 1956 to Rose Marie Loar, in Angola, Indiana. He was a self employed farmer retiring in 1997. Arthur served in the U.S. Army from September 18, 1952, to September 17, 1960. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blissfield, Blissfield American Legion, the Gleaners Society. Jeanette Ogden, age 96 of Blissfield, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility with her family by her side. She was born May 2, 1917, in Blissfield, Michigan, to the late Edward and Madge (Smith) Brown. Jeanette was a member of the graduating Class of 1935 from Blissfield High School. On August 21, 1947, she was married to Richard Ogden, and they celebrated almost 62 years of marriage before his death in 2009. Jeanette worked at Tibbs Brothers IGA and the Gambles store. She was a lifetime member of the Blissfield American Legion Auxilliary. ADRIAN—Margaret Pearl (Lipp) Miller passed away peacefully at Magnum Care Nursing Home in Adrian, Michigan on February 28th in the early evening. She was born on February 26th, 1922 to the late Martin and Edith (Johnson) Lipp in Riga, Michigan. She was well attended to by the staff at Magnum Care over the last few years and made many friends of the staff and residents at the home.
Margaret was raised on a farm in the Riga area until age 7 when her father died leaving her mother and four sisters, Ruth, Alice, Helen and Gladys to continue on. It was a bit of a struggle but they worked together and all became very close as a result of the loss. They moved to Blissfield where Margaret graduated from high school. Yvonne S. Diedrich, age 57 of Blissfield, passed away unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, January 29, 2014. She was born August 17, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond and Barbara (Barker) Hugill Sr. Yvonne graduated from Eastwood High School in Pemberville, Ohio, and attended both the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
On July 23, 2002, Yvonne married Alfred Diedrich in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and he survives.
Yvonne retired in 2011 from Toledo Public Schools where she was a sign language interpreter for 23 years, most recently at Waite High School. She enjoyed the students and served as an advisor for several school clubs. Yvonne collected cut glass and was a member of the American Cut Glass Association.

Earl R. Gafner, 76 of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2014. Earl was born on December 29, 1937, Britton, Michigan. He was the son of Charles and Florence (Pickford) Gafner.
He is survived by his loving wife Galina Rudko of Las Vegas and former wife Lynne (Jacobs) Gafner of Blissfield and their children; a son Mark (Teresa) Gafner of Delta,Ohio, and daughter Valerie (Mike) Gunn of Ida, five grandchildren; Courtney, Jeff, and Kyle Gunn of Ida and Emily and Elizabeth Gafner of Delta, Ohio. Also surviving is a brother, Elwyn “Buzz” Gafner of Blissfield and a sister, Arlene McVay of Morenci. He was preceded in death by a sister, Madeline Lietzke of Blissfield.

Anna Mae was born December 24, 1924 in Blissfield, Michigan to Fred and Hazel (Caswell) Brieschke. She graduated from Blissfield High School and attended Huntington College. She married Edwin Crots on April 6, 1946. They were together 53 years and supported each other as life-long partners, raising five children, before his death in 1999.
Anna Mae loved God with every ounce of her being and lived each day striving to serve him and love her family and friends. Jack E. Law, 80, passed away Sun. Jan. 26, 2014 at the Ebeid Hospice residence in Sylvania, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 29, 1933 to Chester and Dorothy Law in Fostoria, Ohio.
On August 5, 1952 he joined the Air Force and married Peggy Fox in 1953, she preceded him in death on August 16, 1982. Jack was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one grandson and three greatgrandchildren, one sister and five brothers.
He is survived by his second wife Juliette Slomski whom he married on August 12, 1988, two daughters, Debra (Gary) Hernandez and Judy Law, two sons John (Lee) and Daniel Law, one sister Dorothy (Mick) Veres, two brothers, Chester and Donald Law, 7 step-children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

PALMYRA — Paul C. Griffith, 58, died January 28, 2014, at his home after a valiant three-year battle with multiple myeloma. He found peace surrounded by the love of his family. Paul was an intelligent, creative and talented man who pursued his many interests with a passion.
