Audrey M. Brown, 95, of Blissfield, Michigan, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, Michigan. She was born April 23, 1918, to Harold and Mabel (Slater) Dings in Riga. She was married to Glenn D. Brown on June 16, 1944. Audrey was a life member of Berkey Congregational Christian Church in Berkey, Ohio. She played piano and organ and taught Sunday school for the church for many years. DEERFIELD — Carol (Cote) Mueller, age 84, of Deerfield, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Hospice of Lenawee’s Hospice Home. She was born to the late Sylvanus and Cizerie (Marquis) Cote July 3, 1929, in Beaverville, Ill. Carol was a devoted wife and homemaker and loved spending time with her entire family. She also retired from Simplex Industries in 1992. She married Oliver Mueller at St. Mary Catholic Church on March 31, 1951, in Adrian. Jann Lyn Peacock Leverenz, age 54, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Ohio Northwestern Hospice Center.
She is survived by her husband, John Leverenz of Toledo, her father, Norman (Bud) Peacock, step mother, Edna Peacock of Blissfield; a son Richard of Toledo; her brother, Jeffery, his wife, Tracy and their sons Cody, CJ Peacock of Elyria, Ohio; and John’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leverenz.
Both Jann and her brother, Jeffery, were adopted from the Methodist Children’s Home. The first twenty years of their life was parented by Joann Russell (1931-1981) of Kalamazoo, and Norman Peacock. Both the Russell and the Peacock families were ecstatic over the addition and the children brought the utmost love to their families.

TECUMSEH — Emeline ‘Em’ A. Good, 83, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Lenawee. Born April 17, 1930, in Blissfield, Michigan, she was the only child of Joseph and Helen (Demusky) Dvorsky.
She graduated from Blissfield High School with the Class of 1947. On June 25, 1949, Emeline married Donald Good, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Blissfield, and recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary.
Em was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Tecumseh.
In her younger years, she worked at Blissfield Manufacturing, Tecumseh Products, and Applewood Orchards. Her most treasured positions were that of wife, mother, and grandmother.

ADRIAN — Kenneth D. Street, age 74, of Adrian, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 25, 1938, in Richmond, Ind., to Kenneth D. and Josephine (Smith) Street. He was married to Janet S. Wigginton on March 11, 1959, in Richmond, Ind., and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2007. On Jan. 30, 2009, he married Dona J. Douglas in Blissfield and she survives. Kenneth was the Owner of K & J Absorbent Products. He was a member of Turning Point Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, and collecting Old World Globes. Linda J. File, 65, of Blissfield passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio.
Born May 10, 1948, in Russellville, Alabama, she was the daughter of James and Susie (Vickery) Lay. Linda graduated from Blissfield High School with the Class of 1966.
On December 14, 1968, she married Gary L. File in Adrian, and he survives.
Linda worked at Blissfield Co-op and later, Ottawa Lake Co-op. She was a member of the Blissfield Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed playing bunco and flower gardening. She and Gary were long-time members of the Irish Hills Antique Car Club. They enjoyed attending car shows, camping, and wintering in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Eric T. LaVoy, age 65 of Blissfield passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. He was born on September 11, 1947 in Adrian, Michigan to Bernard G. and Florence R. (Roberts) LaVoy. Upon graduating high school, Eric served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1973. He was a deputy with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department where he proudly served as Captain of the Lenawee County Mounted Division right up until his untimely death. Eric was a very active member of the Annis-Fint V.F.W. Post #1584 in Adrian.

DEERFIELD — Elaine (Hodge) Foley joined the company of her heavenly family on July 28, 2013, after a brief illness and stay at the Ebeid Hospice Center in Sylvania, Ohio.
Elaine was born and raised in New London, Conn., on February 4, 1940, and was an active participant in the Girl Scouts of America, both as a child then as a Team Leader. In 1961, Elaine married the love of her life, Captain Jerome “Jerry” P. Foley. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. Elaine was a proud Coast Guard wife and more importantly, a mother of 5 children. She always dedicated her life to her faith and her family and as such has an extensive list of those that she loved and cared for and those that loved her, many considering her as a second mother.

Helia Irene DeRousie, age 89, of Tecumseh, formerly of Blissfield, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Cambrian Assisted Living.
She was born on November 22, 1923 in Baltic, Michigan to Kaarlo and Fannie (Hirvasniemi) Juntunen. Helia married Stuart J. DeRousie on April 6, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. Helia grew up in the Upper Peninsula and worked as a secretary in Detroit, at Adrian College and at Tecumseh Products. Her joys were summers in the Keweenaw Peninsula, many friends, reading, long walks,and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
