DEERFIELD — Anthony “Tony” J. Genchi, age 90 of Deerfield, formerly of the Cleveland, Ohio, area passed away on Wednesday evening, Sept. 18, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 3, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph and Antoinette (Fratelloni) Genchi. On Oct. 29, 1960, he was united in marriage to Mary Hrestak in Cleveland, Ohio. She survives. Tony was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. He was a welcoming host and enjoyed time sitting with friends sharing stories over coffee and a piece of pastry. DELTA, Ohio — Lydia V. Miller Karl, 93, of Delta, formerly of Blissfield, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Fulton County Health Center. She was born January 3, 1920, in Lenawee County, Michigan, to William and Rachel (Goodwin) Miller. On March 12, 1964, she married Martin Karl Sr., and he preceded her in death in 1984. Lydia was a former member of the Blissfield First United Methodist Church and was currently attending the New Horizon Community Church in Delta. While living in Blissfield, she was active with the Blissfield Senior Center and enjoyed being a member of the Silvertones Band. PETERSBURG: Lawrence “Larry” LeRoy Dusseau, 72, of Petersburg, formerly of Deerfield for 36 years died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 17, 1941 in Monroe, he was the son of Lawrence and Janinia (Larrow) Dusseau.
He attended Dundee Schools. Larry married Janet Leary on Aug. 22, 1964 at Petersburg United Methodist Church. He worked as a forklift operator for Tecumseh Products, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed auto body painting, fishing, and collecting NASCAR items, particularly Dale Earnhardt Sr. items. He enjoyed playing jokes and loved to spend time with his family. He spoke to his children every day.

DUBOIS, Pa. — Charles W. Keen, age 84, South Highland Street in DuBois, PA died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence. Born on February 3, 1929 in Phoenix, MO, he was the son of the late Virgil & Mary Mae (Bodenhammer) Keen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. On March 3, 1967, he married Janis (Goetz) Kimberling Keen. She survives. Charles was a long standing member of the Ironworkers Local Union #55. He enjoyed his family, his pipe and a good prank. Kimberly (Jacques) Clark, 44 of Morenci, formerly of Blissfield lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Kim was born on March 12, 1969, in Adrian, Michigan to George J. and Nancy I. (Brooks) Jacques, Sr. Kim worked as a waitress at local diners in the area such as Mom and Misty’s and Pam’s Lane Street Café` in Blissfield and the City Limits Diner in Saline. She also served as a full time care-giver for a family friend until her passing. Audrey M. Brown, 95, of Blissfield, Michigan, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, Michigan. She was born April 23, 1918, to Harold and Mabel (Slater) Dings in Riga. She was married to Glenn D. Brown on June 16, 1944. Audrey was a life member of Berkey Congregational Christian Church in Berkey, Ohio. She played piano and organ and taught Sunday school for the church for many years. She was born to the late Sylvanus and Cizerie (Marquis) Cote July 3, 1929, in Beaverville, Ill. Carol was a devoted wife and homemaker and loved spending time with her entire family. Jann Lyn Peacock Leverenz, age 54, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Ohio Northwestern Hospice Center.
She is survived by her husband, John Leverenz of Toledo, her father, Norman (Bud) Peacock, step mother, Edna Peacock of Blissfield; a son Richard of Toledo; her brother, Jeffery, his wife, Tracy and their sons Cody, CJ Peacock of Elyria, Ohio; and John’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leverenz.
Both Jann and her brother, Jeffery, were adopted from the Methodist Children’s Home. The first twenty years of their life was parented by Joann Russell (1931-1981) of Kalamazoo, and Norman Peacock. Both the Russell and the Peacock families were ecstatic over the addition and the children brought the utmost love to their families.

TECUMSEH — Emeline ‘Em’ A. Good, 83, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Lenawee. Born April 17, 1930, in Blissfield, Michigan, she was the only child of Joseph and Helen (Demusky) Dvorsky.
She graduated from Blissfield High School with the Class of 1947. On June 25, 1949, Emeline married Donald Good, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Blissfield, and recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary.
Em was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Tecumseh.
In her younger years, she worked at Blissfield Manufacturing, Tecumseh Products, and Applewood Orchards. Her most treasured positions were that of wife, mother, and grandmother.
