The Village of Blissfi eld will be conducting a
spring leaf collection beginning Tuesday, April 16,
2024. Village residents who wish to have their
leaves picked up must have them placed in the
right-of-way, parallel to the road, no later than
Monday, April 15, 2024.
Leaves are not to be placed in the streets or
gutters, nor around poles, guy wires, signs, or fi re
hydrants. Piles of leaves containing brush, sod,
garden materials, rubbish or demolition materials,
will not be picked up. Anyone who has questions
about this pickup should call the Village Office at
486-4347.

The Blissfield Public Works Dept. will be
conducting a village-wide flushing of water
hydrants, from Sunday, April 7 until Friday, April
19, to remove sediment that accumulates in
the water lines. The flushing will be conducted
between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
each day to minimize any inconvenience to
customers.
During the hydrant flushing, residents may
notice the water has a rusty appearance. The
water is safe to use and drink. Residents
should check the color of the water before
doing laundry. If the water is rusty, run the cold
water for a short time to clear the lines.

Please be notified that the Deerfield Township
Planning Commission will hold a meeting on April
17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting
will be to conduct any business that may come
before the planning commission and to hold a public
hearing on amendments to the Township’s zoning
ordinance regarding wireless telecommunications
facilities.
The tentative and proposed zoning ordinance
may be examined at the Deerfield Township Hall,
468 Carey St., Deerfield, MI 49238 during regular
business hours. Written comments regarding the
proposed amendments may be submitted in care of
Kevon Martis, Zoning Administrator, to the Township
Hall.
