Whiteford Girls 17th at State Finals

The young Lady Bobcats finished 17^th in the 27-team field in the MHSAA Division 4 girls cross country state finals held at Michigan International Speedway this morning.

Whiteford ran four freshman, two sophomores and a senior. Freshman Rachel Fisher finished 50^th in a time of 20:36.9 to lead Whiteford. Sophomore Ashley Daniels finished 84^th in 21:13.3. Freshman Grace Hojnacki was 133^rd in 21.56.7. Freshman Clairisse Rickert was 178^th in 21:10.7. Senior Taylor Kiefer was 204^th in 23:57.6 to round out Whiteford’s top five. Also running were Sophomore Brandi Eischen, who followed Kiefer into the chute to place 20^th in 24:03.7 and Freshman Devon Wilkerson, who was 214^th in 24:35.7.

It was Whiteford’s first trip to MIS since 2006.
