Week 7 Football Picks

OK, so Summerfield and Hudson have their conferences basically wrapped up (watch out for Clinton, Summerfield). Now, it's all about the playoffs. Britton Deerfield needs to win out, a tall order with Summerfield still on the schedule. Blissfield needs to win two of three, and they should get the first tonight. Whiteford needs to win two of three, and it won't be easy because they've got Summerfield tonight. Last week, Eric May and I both went 5-2, missing the Blissfield and Dundee scores. So far, we're both 12-3. 

Erie Mason (0-6, 0-3) at Blissfield (4-2, 2-2)

Tran Longmoore says : Blissfield’s going to be angry after last week’s game against Onsted. Watch for Dalton Goetz to have a huge game. Blissfield 42, Mason 0

Eric May says: The baby birds should be ready to fly south after this game. The Royals bounce back this week and feast. Royals 48, Sparrows 0

Whiteford (4-2, 3-1) at Summerfield (6-0, 4-0)

Tran says: I’ve been burned on “homer picks” twice in the last three weeks. My heart says Whiteford. My brain says Summerfield. Ah, screw it. Heart cooks brain. Whiteford 28, Summerfield 27

Eric Says: Somebody will beat Summerfield before they advance far in the playoffs but it won’t be here. Bulldogs are piling up wins in the sad TCC. Bulldogs 40, Bobkittens 6

Britton Deerfield (3-3, 1-3) at Madison (0-6, 0-4)

Tran says: Man, the Patriots are *this* close to being 5-1. And if they were, they’d make the playoffs Friday, because they’re going to beat Madison. BD 32, Madison 12

Eric says: The Patriots have a bye week as they play the hapless Trojans. Maybe the Patriot cheerleaders get some playing time this week. Patriots 28, Trojans 0

Onsted (5-1, 3-1) at Dundee (3-3, 2-2)

Tran says: Dundee played tough against Blissfield and upset Ida last week. Can they do it again? Probably not. Onsted 28, Dundee 24.

Eric says: The dirty Vikings won’t be able to pull off back-to-back upsets. Onsted runs to victory. Wildcats 34, Cheap Shot Artists 20.

Ida (3-3, 2-2) at Hudson (6-0, 4-0)

Tran says: A week after being pillaged by the Vikings, Ida will be torn to shreds by the Tigers. Hudson 34, Ida 13

Eric says: Let’s go Blue Streaks! Let’s Go Blue Streaks! Although it would be great to see Hudson tumble, the Streaks were very disappointing last week. Tigers 40, Streaks 14.

Sand Creek (2-4, 2-2) at Morenci (3-3, 3-1)

Tran says: Morenci started with a light schedule and finishes tough. Sand Creek started with a tough schedule and finishes light. By the end of the season, the Aggies will be ahead of the Bulldogs in the standings. Sand Creek 21, Morenci 19

Eric says: Bulldogs try to keep their playoff hopes alive against the mini-cows. Sand Creek out the playoffs once again. Darn. Morenci 26, Sand Creek 12.

Clinton (3-3, 3-1) at Whitmore Lake (0-6, 0-4)

Tran says: Clinton is mounting a late season playoff charge. Whitmore Lake won’t stand in the way. Clinton 56, Whitmore Lake 0

Eric says; Another weak TCC matchup. The Trojans are horrible. Hey Redskins. We miss the W’s from you when you were in the LCAA. Do you feel better beating up on the TCC? Good for you! Redskins 38, Trojans 6
