ADRIAN – Robert Clark Britten, age 46, of Adrian, left to be with The Lord, Sunday, December 4, 2011, in Adrian. He was born July 19, 1965, in Adrian, to Gordon E. and Mary Ann (Clark) Britten. On June 21, 2003, he married Cindy Mlcek in Adrian and she survives. He was a member of the Lenawee County Conservation club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mary Ann (Clark) Britten of Adrian; one son, Reece Britten of Britton, MI; four siblings, Susan (Michael) Mulski of Nashua, NH, Shawn Wells of Muskegon, MI, Craig (Debbie) Britten of Lake Samamish, WA and Diane (Charles) Burns of Clarkston, MI; his father-in-law, Joseph Mlcek of Blissfield; two sister-in-laws, Laurie (Brian) Niederhauser of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cheryl (Ross) Healey of Poway, California; one brother-in-law, Rick (Paula) Mlcek of Monclova, OH; nieces and nephews, Hunter Britten, Jessie Burns, Jason and Jared Niederhauser, Chet, Charlie and Calvin Mlcek, and Tiffany and A.J. Healey. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert R. and Lillian (Thompson) Clark and Jesse and Elise Britten; and his mother-in-law, Laurie Mlcek.
The Funeral Liturgy for Rob was held on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Adrian with Father David Hudgins as celebrant. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation was held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian where a Vigil Prayer Servicewase held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation was also be held on Friday from 9 – 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Adrian. A Family Prayer Service was held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Adrian.
