First-year Britton Deerfield varsity volleyball coach Tim O’Brien said fans can expect to see a quicker offense when watching Patriot volleyball this fall. Other than that he doesn’t expect to see too many changes to the young team of 11  players he coaching. Former varsity volleyball coach Michelle Bearinger was recently named athletic director for the school district.

O’Brien who will play his final season on the men’s Siena Heights volleyball team this winter was also an assistant coach for the Patriot junior varsity team last year.
O’Brien said the team has adopted an offensive that will change the tempo of the game they are used to playing.
“It will be quicker,” he said.
