Marian Beaver
Marian A. Beaver, age 89, Blissfield, passed away on May 2, 2011 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, OH. She was born on March 29, 1922 in Detroit, MI to Rose (Wesley) and Henry Siemens, who preceded her in death.
She graduated from Lincoln Park High School and married shortly after graduation to Carl L. Beaver, who preceded her in death in July, 2000. They lived in Lincoln Park, MI for many years until Carl’s death. Surviving are two children, Terry L. Beaver of Riga, MI and Susan C. DeGroff (Frank) of Blissfield. Also surviving is her granddaughter, Sierra R. DeGroff of Toledo, OH and several nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Richard and Henry Siemens, also preceded her in death.
Marian was a full-time homemaker and her family was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed spending winter months in Florida with her husband as well as the many dogs they had through the years. “I Love Lucy” was her favorite TV show.
Marian lived with her son and daughter in the Blissfield area for several years following her husband’s death. She then resided at Grand Court Assisted Living facility in Adrian, and finally at Blissfield Place Assisted Living. We give special thanks to the staff at both of these facilities who gave her much comfort and care and treated her as family.
Her gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation was at Wagley Funeral Home in Blissfield on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6. The funeral took place on Saturday, May 7. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.wagleyfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee Humane Society in Adrian.
