DELTA, Ohio — James R. Hottenstein, 50, of Delta, Ohio, passed away at his home Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, 2011, with his loving family by his side..
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 5, 1961, to James and Marlene (Belman) Hottenstein.
On June 20, 1991, James was united in marriage to Julie Allerding. He was employed as a foreman with Trimac Die Company in Toledo.
In his spare time, James enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Issac Walton Sportsman’s Club.
James is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Jacob Hottenstein; father, James (Priscilla) Hottenstein, Petersburg, mother Marlene Nyitray, Sylvania, Ohio; sister Deb (Tillman) Sandusky, Delta; step brothers, Don (Deb) Hottenstein, Petersburg, and Robert (Shelley) Hottenstein, Deerfield; and canine companions, “Coco” and “Hunter.”
James was preceded in death by his brother, Tyson Hottenstein in 1999 and sister, Ryonn Jane Hottenstein in 1989.
A memorial service celebrating James’ life was held on Oct. 15 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, Delta, Ohio, with Pastor Chuck Whitmier officiating.
