Gerard Beeckman
ADRIAN – Gerard P. Beeckman, age 71, of Adrian, formerly of Blissfield, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1940, in Detroit, MI to Gerard R. and Anna L. (Mortier) Beeckman. Gerard graduated from Deerfield High School. On December 17, 1983, he married Sandra Sue Woods and she survives.
Gerard was a Master Plumber. He worked as a Mechanical/Plumbing Inspector for Raisenville Twp., in Monroe, MI.
In addition to his wife, Sandra Sue, he is survived by his daughters, Angie (Chuck) Clendenin, Cindy Calin, Shelly Koppenhofer, Jackie (David) Reyome, Faith Stricklin, and Elizabeth (Justin) Powell; son, Randy (Maria) Beeckman; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and his step-father, Russell Goodrich.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Beeckman, Jr; daughter, Rebecca Beeckman; mother, Anna Goodrich; sister, Debbie Goodrich; grandsons, Jeremy and Jamie Beeckman, Jr.; son-in-law, Steven Koppenhofer; grandson, Joshua Swift; and son-in-law, Steven Stricklin.
Visitation will be held today from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.
