Whiteford 27, Whitmore Lake 13
Winless Whitmore Lake put a scare into the Bobcats, but Whiteford kept their playoff hopes alive on Homecoming night.
Corey Roberts rushed for three touchdowns and Cody Donnelly rushed for another as the Bobcats improved to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the TCC.
Whiteford finishes at Morenci (4-4) next week. With a win, the Bobcats will make the playoffs for a second consecutive year.
The game was tied at 13 in the fourth quarter. On fourth and one from Whiteford’s 39, the Bobcats looked like they were in trouble after a bad snap. But Cody Donnelly picked up the loose ball and scampered for a big gain, setting up Roberts’ third touchdown of the game.
Brooklyn Columbia Central 28, Blissfield 22
Blissfield missed a chance to clinch a playoff spot as the Eagles held off two late Royals’ drives to win. Brooklyn took a 12-0 lead with its second TD of the game midway through the second quarter. The Royals got on the board with a three-yard TD run by QB Eric Schmidt. Brooklyn led 12-6 until Dalton Goetz rushed in from five yards out in the first minute of the fourth quarter. The Royals took a 14-12 lead when Goetz rushed in for a two-point conversion.
But Brooklyn responded by returning the kickoff for an 87-yard TD.
The Royals regained the lead with 6:52 to play when Goetz scored from a yard out. He rushed into the end zone for the two-point play and the Royals led 22-20. But Brooklyn scored on a 46-yard run to take a 28-22 lead. Blissfield drove the ball all the way down to the Brooklyn two but couldn’t score. Another late drive ended just two yards short of the end zone as time expired when Schmidt was tackled at the Brooklyn two on the game’s final play.
Goetz finished with 29 carries for 190 yards and two TDs. Schmidt rushed 13 times for 51 yards and a TD. He completed four of 15 passes for 49 yards.
Mitch Winkelman led Blissfield with 11.5 tackles. Eric Schmidt ad Lee Keinath picked off passes for Blissfield.
Summerfield 52, Britton Deerfield 7
Unbeaten Summerfield improved to 8-0 (6-0 TCC) with a win at Deerfield. BD fell to 4-4 (2-4 TCC).

The LCAA champions cruise to their eighth win of the season.

The Screaming Eagles fall to 0-8.
Dundee 40, Hillsdale 28
Dan Bolster led Dundee to a 26-point fourth quarter, completing 29 of 47 passes for 400 yards. He threw three TD passes to Travis Bogi in the fourth quarter. Dundee improved to 4-4 on the season.
Onsted 59, Albion 12
The Wildcats improve to 7-1 this season.
Ida 54, Jackson Parma Western 14
The Blue Streaks snapped a four-game slump.

Clinton 50, Morenci 38
Clinton (5-3, 5-1) kept its playoff hopes alive and ruined the Bulldogs' playoff aspirations. Clinton plays Summerfield next week with a playoff spot and the TCC championship on the line. Morenci will try to spoil Whiteford's playoff drive.
Sand Creek 49, Madison 0
The Aggies blanked the Trojans to battle back to .500 after a brutal start. The Aggies face BD next week, with the winner finishing with a winning record and the loser finishing with a losing record.
