Eleanor Friedly

Eleanor Friedly was born June 30, 1927 in Blissfield, Michigan to Lester and Velma Klump. She was the eldest of three girls. Graduated 1944 from Blissfield High School in Blissfield, Michigan., she continued her education at Toledo Beauty College. While living in Toledo she met and married Ron Friedly on June 22, 1949 and they then moved to Boise, Idaho that same year.

Together Ron and Eleanor built a beautiful home south of Boise and raised two children. Eleanor enjoyed her huge garden, camping, sewing for her daughter and grandchildren, square dancing and her church activities. She first started volunteering at the St. Alphonsus Hospital when it was located downtown Boise and continued to volunteered for the next 40 years. For 60 years Ron and Eleanor enjoyed many adventures including RV trips to Arizona, vacation to Ireland and England, bus trips to New England, and cruises to Panama, Hawaii, and Inland Passage. Eleanor was a deacon at Southminster Presbyterian Church, and currently a member of Amity Methodist Church. She belonged to Capital Square Dancers, Rambling Rounds and Idaho Outdoor Association.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Friedly, son Keith Friedly (Toni), daughter Ann Lentz (Steve), sisters Winifred Terry and Marilyn McMunn, five grandchildren Tia (Tom) Lloyd, Krystal and April Friedly, Chris and Alex Lentz and three great grandchildren, Trent Lloyd, Terrik Lloyd and Tanner Moore.

Eleanor passed away peacefully Friday, May 7, 2010. Services were held at 10 am Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Amity Methodist Church, Boise, Idaho with burial and reception following.
