Edwin James Faust, 71, of Britton passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1938 in Britton, Michigan, the son of Otto and Charlotte (Williams) Faust. On March 30, 1963, Ed married Gloria Hummel. She survives.
Ed worked as a self-employed farmer and also for Ford Motor Company in Saline, retiring in 1993. After retirement, Ed enjoyed spending time year around at his cabin on Elbow Lake in Harrison, Michigan. He loved to get together with friends and share coffee and conversation at the Blissfield Elevator as often as he could. Ed’s absolute favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving is his wife, Gloria Faust of Britton; 3 daughters, Kristy Faust of Tecumseh, Cindy Faust of Britton and Sherry Faust of Britton; 2 brothers, Bob Faust of Colorado and Dick Faust of Clinton; 2 sisters, Norma Buggy of Milan, MI and Betty Carothers of Clinton; 2 grandchildren, Jessica Faust and Zachary Wimmer and a great-grandson, Christian Arevalo-Faust. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Michael L. Faust and 1 grandson, Michael O. Faust.
Funeral services for Ed will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palmyra with the Rev. Gary Leking officiating. Burial will follow in Palmyra Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the Tagsold Funeral Home in Blissfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hospice of Lenawee or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
