Dean H. Keller, 81 of Blissfield passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Lynwood Manor in Adrian, MI. He was born on September 25, 1929 in Deerfield, Michigan, the son of Norman and Margaret (Bierley) Keller. On September 2, 1950, Dean was united in marriage to Marlene Scholl in Angola, Indiana.
Dean graduated from Blissfield High School in 1949 and served in the United States Army during the Korean War conflict.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Marlene Keller of Blissfield; 4 children, Julie (Clif) Monhollen of Blissfield, Kurtis Keller of Blissfield, Susan Garland of Hudson and Kathy (Michael) Whitner of Blissfield; a sister, Sally (Gordon) Bischoff of Ottawa Lake, MI; a brother Lee (Judy) Keller of Blissfield; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Terry Keller and a son-in-law, Gary Garland.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paulís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Blissfield with the Rev. Gary Leking officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 2-8 p.m. at the Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield. Condolences may be made online at
