BRYAN C. TIEDE, 49, of Churubusco, Ind., passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 18, 2010, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Tecumseh, Mich., he graduated from Holgate High School in Holgate, Ohio, received a Bachelor's degree from ITT, and an Associate's degree in drafting from Ivy Tech.
The U.S. Navy veteran was employed for the past 20 years at UTEC in Huntington. A member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, he was a Eucharistic Minister, usher, a member of the parish council, St. Vincent dePaul Society, and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in New Bavaria, Ohio. He enjoyed golf, all types of sporting activities, and loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Diane (Mangas) Tiede; children, Megan Tiede and Benjamin Tiede, both at home; his parents, Max N. and Lela Tiede of Blissfield, Mich; brothers, Mark Tiede of Sylvania, Ohio, Scott Tiede of Lyons, Ohio, Joel Tiede and Tim (Lynn) Tiede, both of Blissfield, Mich; sister, Amber Pierce of Blissfield, Mich; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Elanine) Mangas of Montpelier, Ohio and Douglas (Monica) Mangas of Holgate, Ohio; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco. Father Danney Pinto officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, with a Rosary at 8 p.m. Monday. Burial in Ege Catholic Cemetery, Noble County.
