Bob Phenicie

Bobby “Bob” E. Phenicie, 85 of Blissfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2011 surrounded by his beloved family at his daughter’s home in Morenci, Michigan. 

Bob was born on March 7, 1926 in Ogden Township, Michigan to William and Helen (Leader) Phenicie.
On July 13, 1946 he was united in marriage to his devoted wife of 64 years, Emma M. Wilt.
Bob worked as a farmer and truck driver for over 40 years.  He drove truck for CH Rumpf in Adrian, Michigan and later drove for Indian Head in Toledo, Ohio. 
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blissfield, Farm Bureau and also belonged to the Black Swamp Antique Truck Club in Toledo, Ohio and he took great pride in showing his antique truck and tractor at various events.  
Surviving is his wife, Emma M. Phenicie of Blissfield; two children, Linda (Lowell) Oberhaus of Morenci and Roger (Cecile) Phenicie of Adrian; two sisters, Bette (Lawrence) Bliesner of Tecumseh and Beverly (Paul) Lightfoot of Adrian; two brothers, Bruce (Lynn) Phenicie of Lawton, MI and Burton (Marilyn) Phenicie of Adrian; five grandchildren, Scott Knisel, Troy (Mary) Knisel, Steven McRobert, Michelle McRobert and Ashlea Phenicie; four great-grandchildren, Tylar, Jacob, Alyson and Ryan. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a great-granddaughter, Krystyn Knisel and three brothers, William, Burdette and James Phenicie.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of this great man will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield with the Rev. Paul Donelson officiating.  Burial will follow in Ogden Zion Cemetery in Ogden Township.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Blissfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, First United Methodist Church of Blissfield or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
