BD puts youthful energy on trail
BRITTON DEERFIELD CROSS COUNTRY
A young but energetic team is what first year Britton Deerfield Patriot cross county coach Jay Yockey believes he has in the seven girls and four boys running for the Patriots this year. For the first time in several years Britton Deerfield is fielding a full scoring girls team Yockey said there are four freshman one sophomore and two juniors on the team.
“We are a young team,” Yockey said, “but I’m glad, being a young coach.”
All the runners want to be here, he said.
“I see a lot of potential in them, they want to be good, they just need that extra guidance.”
