BLISSFIELD – Arlene M. Knoblauch, age 86 of Blissfield, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at Blissfield Place.
She was born January 31, 1928, in Ridgeway Township, Michigan to Walter and Doris (Smith) Marks. Arlene graduated from Blissfield High School and attended Davis Business College.
On August 25, 1948, Arlene married Fred C. Knoblauch in Blissfield, and they were blessed with 51 years together.
Arlene was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Blissfield. She was a long-time member of the Variety Extension Club, and enjoyed Thursday afternoon bowling with the ladies.
She is survived by her children: Brenda Miller of Blissfield; Jeffrey (Karen) Knoblauch of Sylvania; Jennifer Knoblauch and Mark (Carol) Knoblauch, both of Blissfield; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her siblings, Shirley Hillman of Adrian and Ronald (Darlene) Marks of Gahanna, OH.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Knoblauch, and a sister, Beverly Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel with Rev. Gary Leking officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
