Main Street visioning session Tuesday

Public invited to help create 5- to 10-year outlook
Want to help shape the priorities of the Blissfield Main Street Program for the next five to ten years?  Well, the program is giving the public that opportunity at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 11, when it hosts the Downtown Blissfield Vision Session.  The session, which will be facilitated by Laura Krizov from the Michigan Main Street Center, will be held at the Schultz – Holmes Memorial Library.

Attendees to the session will be asked to identify the strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities for downtown Blissfield in the next five to ten years.  After these items have been identified, attendees will then be asked to vote on what they feel are the top priorities.  Once that is complete, each category will be tabulated and those will then become the top priorities of the program for the next five to ten years.

“At the DDA/Main Street Board Meeting in November, the board asked me to organize a visioning session for the community.  This is a result of that., said Main Street manager Michael Sessions. "I know that the board is excited to hear your vision, and ready to base the program on what comes out of this session.”
