COMSTOCK — Five Blissfield wrestlers were sent to compete in the Comstock Invitational meet Thursday. With four wrestlers making the podium, the Royals shined individually. As a team, they showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with in the highly competitive LCAA.
Nic Edwards, returning after his recovery from a neck injury, placed second in the 103-pound class, followed by Cavin Beckey in third.
Mitch Winkelman bulked up to the 152-pound class and won second place.
Christian Davis, wrestling at 285 pounds, lost to the eventual champion in the semifinals. He then pinned his opponent in the conciliation finals to place third.
