Millages on local ballots

Voters in Deerfield, Riga and Palmyra Townships will all have millage requests on the Aug. 5 primary ballot and voters in the Britton Deerfield School district will once again be asked to approve a five-year one-mill sinking fund request after voters turned it down at a special May election.

All Lenawee County voters will be asked to consider a .5 mill renewal for the Lenawee County Department on Aging.

Voters in Whiteford Township won’t see any millage requests on the ballot.

The Britton Deerfield School board is seeking a one-mill sinking fund for five years to help fund needed maintenance projects at both facilities. Voters turned down the request in May by a 130-115 margin.
