Halloween Hours: UPDATE … No Rotary bonfire, but trick-or-treat a “go”

As of 2 p.m. today (Halloween), local communities are still planning on trick-or-treating taking place this evening, but the Rotary bonfire and Halloween parade have been cancelled, due to weather .

Blissfield and Riga has trick-or-treating from 5:30-7 p.m. Whiteford and the village of Deerfield have scheduled trick-or-treating from 6- 8 p.m. The Palmyra Township Fire Department Halloween Party begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

According to Blissfield Rotary President Andy Borchardt , all of the food and supplies purchased for this evening’s cancelled Rotary bonfire will be donated to local food banks.
