Lawrence Dusseau

PETERSBURG:  Lawrence “Larry” LeRoy Dusseau, 72, of Petersburg, formerly of Deerfield for 36 years died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at home surrounded by his family.  He was born Aug. 17, 1941 in Monroe, he was the son of Lawrence and Janinia (Larrow) Dusseau.

He attended Dundee Schools. Larry married Janet Leary on Aug. 22, 1964 at Petersburg United Methodist Church.  He worked as a forklift operator for Tecumseh Products, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed auto body painting, fishing, and collecting NASCAR items, particularly Dale Earnhardt Sr. items. He enjoyed playing jokes and loved to spend time with his family. He spoke to his children every day.

Larry is  survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Tammy (Wallace) Poff of Alger, Ohio, Wendy Dusseau (Jimmy Myers) of Monroe, Lawrence (Chris) Dusseau of Deerfield, Dawn (Mike) Kruse of Tecumseh, Shane  (Taria) Dusseau of Deerfield, and Lance Dusseau (Connie Canine) of Milan; nine grandchildren: Kassandra Salyer, Kelsey Shopshire, Kurstyn Hensley; Dallas, Caitlyn, Alec, Tatum, Trevor and Clayton; step grandchildren Korey and Shawn; great-grandchildren Landon and Lizzie; brothers, Theodore Dusseau of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Duane (Anita) Dusseau of Somerset; sisters Janine Dusseau of Maitland, Fla. and Joyce Dusseau of Milan and his faithful companion, Angel.   He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Albert and Donald Dusseau and a half-brother, Timothy Larrow.

A visitation for Larry was on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home in Blissfield.  Funeral services for Larry will be private.  Burial will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery in Petersburg, Michigan.  You may leave condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
