Royals baseball season underway

It’s been all about gaining experience for a youthful Blissfield baseball roster. The Royals record stands at 1-3 following the Farm Bureau Invitational Saturday in Blissfield. The Royals fell to Flushing 9-1 to open the season last Thursday, and proceeded to go 1-2 at the invitational. Blissfield defeated Fenton 4-1 to open the tournament, but was defeated by Monroe Jefferson 6-1 and Saline 9-1 to round out the day. “I’m pleased with where we’re at. These young kids are really learning and competed well in all three games. We’re making big strides,” Blissfield head coach Larry Tuttle said.
