Rotary auction has online bidding; public can bid in person 2-4 Sat.

After 25 years the Blissfield Rotary Club Charity Auction is going on-line. Co-chairperson Andy Borchardt said the list of auction items for the Silver Anniversary event is both varied and exciting with something to appeal to everyone. Although tickets to Saturday’s (March 16) event at the Blissfield American Legion Hall are sold out, there is still time for everyone to bid on items on-line, an opportunity new this year.

This year will be a test run for the online bidding that closes at 6 p.m. this Friday, March 15. Right now the club has more than 160 items up for auction. Bidding takes place at blissfieldrotary.org. There is a chance for bidders to claim items in the silent auction by placing a “super-bid”, Borchardt said.

Bidders can also visit the Legion from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 16, to view the items in person and place bids – even if they don’t have tickets for that evening’s event.
