Ogden Twp. slate takes shape

November candidates named

On Nov. 8 Ogden Township voters will choose from five candidates to fill the two township board positions left open when supervisor Jim Goetz and clerk Phyllis Gentz were recalled on Aug. 2.

Current interim supervisor Richard Marks has the Lenawee County Republican Party’s nomination. Independent Kevin Decatur is also in the running. He submitted nominating petitions with the required number of signatures. Lester Eff had the Democratic nomination, but Lenawee County Democratic Party chair Arnold Harper says Eff has since backed out.
Independent Alice Clark, who is serving as interim clerk, is running for the position along with Republican Carrie Hulett.
The winning candidates will serve through the remainder of their predecessors’ terms. Voters will elect all board members to four-year terms in 2012.
