Kilee Goetz is a very busy person. She just recently left Blissfield for Elon, North Carolina, after a visit with her family and friends, and is getting settled into her new apartment, new town, and, most of all, new job. The 1999 Blissfield High School grad, on June 23, accepted an assistant volleyball coach position at Elon University, a college known for its top-shelf volleyball team.
Goetz was the head coach of Kalamazoo Central High School in Kalamazoo from 2005 to 2008.
From there, Goetz was the assistant coach at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. There, the Samford Bulldogs gained two back-to-back North Division titles in 2008 and 2009.
And not only are her coaching skills amazing, her time spent as a player was impressive as well. After Blissfield, Goetz played at the University of Georgia for four seasons and was the starting setter in her freshman year. And during her time at Georgia U, Goetz only lost two games out of 101. Yes, her stats over a four year period was 99-2. Add to that the fact that she is a two-time high school All-American, four-time MHSAA All State, four-time All County, and four-time All-League, Elon University might have just discovered their secret weapon for the upcoming season.
