Blissfield fifth-graders took to the streets of downtown Blissfield Friday morning to plant flowers they had grown in the Blissfield Elementary Life Lab (BELL). The annual event is the result of a partnership between BES and the Blissfield Downtown Development Authority (DDA).
The DDA’s design committee, which is dedicated to infrastructure development and beautification, selects the flowers to be planted, with the help of Gary Koppelman, the fifth-grade teacher who oversees the BELL.
The DDA’s Main Street Manager Michael Sessions was present, offering the kids help and encouragement.
