Beagle recall effort rekindles
Reworded statement of reason submitted
After being turned down for some unclear language in the petition wording, a group opposed to wind turbine construction in local townships is again seeking a recall of Riga Township Treasurer Richard Beagle.
On behalf of the group, William Frantz, Riga, filed a newly worded statement of reason for a petition April 4 in the Lenawee County Clerk’s office. A Clarity Hearing on the matter will be conducted at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 in the Lenawee County Probate Court by the Lenawee County Election Commission. If approved the petitioner will be able to circulate a petition for a potential recall of Beagle.
