Wrestling from the Feb. 2, 2011 edition
The top 40 wrestlers in Lenawee County were invited to compete at the County All-Star Tournament at Adrian College Friday evening, Jan. 28. Blissfield’s Dalton Goetz and Christian Davis were chosen to participate in the event.
Davis was the number four seed in the 285-pound weight class. He lost in the first round to Adrian’s Moe Jasper. He then went on to defeat Tecumseh’s heavyweight in the consolation round with a score of 3-1.
Goetz was the number one seed in the 171-pound class. He defeated Zach Blystone of Onsted to move on to the finals. In the final round Goetz lost to Tecumseh’s Zach Blystone, 3-4.
