VOLLEYBALL - Season ends at Districts
BD, Whiteford lose in first round; Royals fall in finals
Blissfield Royals
After a decisive victory over Sand Creek in District C volleyball action Blissfield fell to Madison in three games Thursday evening in the district final at Hudson High School.
The Madison Trojans defeated the Royals with scores of 25-9, 25-22 and 25-19.
Britton Deerfield Patriots
The Lady Patriots put up a good fight in the first round of the District volleyball tournament last Tuesday at Clinton, but they fell in three games to Manchester.
Britton Deerfield was neck-and-neck with Manchester in game one, but the Patriots could not keep up and lost 22-25.
The Patriots eventually lost the second game 20-25. In game three, the Dutchmen sailed to a 25-17 finish.
Whiteford
Whiteford girls volleyball lost in the district semifinals to the eventual champion in their district Nov. 1 played at Summerfield High School to bring their season to a close. They lost in three games to St. Mary Catholic Central with scores of 26-24, 25-19 and 25-14.
