Veterans Day activities Friday

The Blissfield American Legion Post 325 and Blissfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10912 are teaming up to honor veterans of the region and the nation this Veterans Day.
At 11 a.m. FRIDAY, NOV. 11 (please note this was incorrectly stated as Thursday in the Nov. 9 Advance), a full colorguard will gather in Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield to honor veterans of Blissfield and Riga, Palmyra and Ogden Townships.
At 12:30 p.m. members of the American Legion and VFW will give a special presentation for Brenda Reinhardt’s fifth-grade class at Blissfield Elementary School.
Veterans are also invited to a dinner at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion. Following dinner there will be a slide show of “Then and Now” pictures to honor veterans.
The dinner is free for veterans and their spouses. The cost for guests is $6 per person.
